At Charter Resource Group, we have discovered that determining why we do what we do is fundamentally important… What we functionally do with our time and resources is certainly significant…but Who we do it with makes all the difference

Meet the Charter Resource Group team of service providers.

Mark Arnold

First of all, thank you for your interest in Charter Resource Group! Serving leaders who find themselves in positions of influence and responsibility has been a life-long ambition for me. In July of 1994, Charter was launched to sharpen the skills of business leaders and to help them get the right people in the right place doing the right thing. To provide these unique services for capable leaders has been a rewarding privilege that is enhanced by sharing the experience with the gifted associates that comprise Charter Resource Group. Prior to founding Charter, I was the short-term President of Mentoring Today, a newly formed national non-profit, and the Sr. Vice President of CLC, Inc., a Nashville-based leadership training organization. My interest in coaching began as a youngster growing up in Roanoke, Virginia. My father not only coached our youth sports teams, but he relayed with enthusiasm to me and my three younger brothers the life shaping experiences of playing for the legendary coach, John Wooden, at UCLA. I saw first -hand while playing basketball and tennis through High School and College (Gordon College 1976-77, Covenant College B.A. 1980) the profound impact that good and bad coaching produces. These early experiences impressed upon me the importance of leadership influence.

Price Carney

I join with Mark in thanking you for your interest in Charter Resource Group, LLC. I have the pleasure of working with some wonderful clients while also serving as our firm’s Managing Partner. I tend to concentrate on providing business architectural services for Charter's clients. Our work in this area helps the client answer three basic questions. Are you in the correct organizational model to accomplish your objectives? Do you have the right people in the right places doing the right things? And, do you have a corporate culture that reflects your desires and values? From that point, we work on helping the organizational leader learn what it truly means to be a great leader. This occurs in real time and exposes the client to the principles, values, and belief systems of the people from history who has accomplished great things.

Kimberly Smith

Kimberly Smith joined Charter Resource in August of 2002 as the Executive Coordinator. She has enjoyed being an integral part of the Charter Resource Group team. She enjoys the strategic leadership planning, marketing coordination and project planning for all of Charter's client corporate retreats/summits. These retreats are crucial in developing the client's leadership skills in order for them to manage their companies more efficiently. Marketing and creating new business development tools for Charter's  Leadership Roundtable Groups over the last eight years has also been rewarding for her in developing new relationships with decision making leaders. In 2010 Charter Resource Group is working to develop a new concept with the Leadership Roundtable which includes sponsoring a rising star within the community or business place. (See more information regarding this opportunity under the Roundtable tab). The Leadership Marketing development initiatives often create opportunities for Kimberly to plan social events for the members and their spouses. "The opportunity to work alongside great leaders of multiple industries, that share the same common values, while managing the firm's internal processes with marketing, business development, project management, travel coordination and day to day office practices as been a fullfilling experience."

Upon earning her degree from from Trevecca Nazarene University, she has enjoyed using her education in Psychology and Business Development as she works with diverse groups. She has since received a Certificate of Redesign/Decorating.

Kimberly is married to Warren, who works at Tractor Supply’s Corporate Center located in Brentwood, Tennessee. When not at work, she and her family enjoy spending time on Tim’s Ford  and heading south, when schedules permit, to visit with family, friends and to read a good book at the beach. Kimberly's side hobby and interest outside of home and Charter is interior decorating. She has been fortunate to dream a little with decorating clients in Middle Tennessee, Georgia, Kentucky, Illinois, and Florida. Call Anytime!
